Huanuqueño!


En enero en Huánuco hay muchas actividades tradicionales. Pudimos participar en dos de ellas, la primera sería el baile de los negritos, que inunda las calles de color y música. Esta danza es de la época colonial, cuando en navidad los españoles daban un poquito de libertad a sus esclavos ''negros''. Participa todo el pueblo en distintas cofradías, muy bonito.

La segunda actividad tiene que ver con carnaval, y, es que plantan un gran árbol en medio de la calle y a machetazos darle golpes entre bailes y juergas, hasta que cae. Serían las doce de la noche cuando regresando aa casa encontramos plantado al lado de san Sebastián un árbol, la gente alrededor bailando, nos invito a participar. Cogi el machete y boom boom boom, pero no había manera..... le pase el turno a otro y seguimos bailando y tomando. A la mañana siguiente me encontré con uno de los que estaban allí esa noche y entre chelitas me invito a desayunar con ellos, todo un gesto que se ve en todo peruano pero que luego es incierto....
