First thoughts after TC Charger
As an introduction I have to say that I feel like I’ve been thrown in the deep end. I started this course with the minimal amount of experience. It wasn’t easy at all but hosts and also a participants helped me to get how to understand better youngsters needs as well as myself.
My main objective for this training course was to know the basic techniques of working effectively with youth both in my country and abroad as an EVS volunteer. And what can I say - I got it! I’m really happy that I had opportunity to be a part of group made from people from all over the world - both from Europe and Asia. This people and their experience helped me to look widely at a situation of youth from Poland, Spain or France but also from Nepal and Thailand. We raised the matters of motivation, communication, self-management among others. But putting aside of theoretical part I think that everybody learnt a lot about themselves because a lot of our tasks during this course had an subliminal aim to show us what type of person we are. For me for example those activities a little bit opened my eyes.
I’m pretty sure that knowledge of theories of well communication or how to attract youngsters will be really useful for all of us because this TC was full not only in theories but also in great ideas for activities for future as well. All of participants finished this training with big motivation and dose of energy to work in their country.
