19th October 2015- Animation Training

The training was conducted by Magdalena in the Arena. The training main aim was to learn how animation can be used as important for working with children and local community. More than 16 volunteers attended

20th October 2015- Leszno voluntary Center

For the last 5 years, CAT has been growing to take up the responsibility of being regional volunteers coordinating center. The supplement the local government efforts in coordinating, placing and hosting Volunteers all over Europe and other neighboring countries. We share some of the CAT policies and sample agreement that they use to manage the volunteers. We had testimonies of local volunteers who have been serving with CATs for the last year and also we had lesson learned in cooperating with different partners. We learn on volunteers orientation games, personality test and how to recruit new volunteers

21st October 2015-Spanish Presentation

One of our task was to learn how CAT undertakes its programs, we had the opportunity to join one of the Spanish Volunteers (Mr Gines) for Spanish classes in High school N02 which we surely enjoyed and learn the cross cultural interaction.

Visiting Daily room in PS3

The Daily Room is a center for children who have technical challenges below 12 years old , we played with the children and learn the different on how African children and European children educational setup

22nd October 2015- Graphic Design Workshop Lesson

The Workshop started at 9am and was facilitated by Ginez who is multimedia specialist, we learned how to design promotion tools for our projects using Adobe family that was Adobe flush, illustrator etc. This was done at the incubation center.

Visiting Business Incubation Center

We also developed interest to learn on how the local government incubation center work, we got the chance to be introduced to Leszno biggest incubation center where we meet start-up entrepreneurs being supported by the local Government .

23rd October 2015-Visitng of the Crisis intervention center

The Crisis intervention Center is the center for children and families in difficult circumstances, those who are from hostile background or violent household. The center currently has over 10 children. When I saw the center, it forced me to reflect in our orphanage centers for children in Kenya which has many children. The center is also hostel for women of domestic violence

Weekly Evaluation

We had our weekly evaluation to discuss opportunities and challenges during the two weeks stay in Leszno . This was carried by Marlena who was our coordinator.
