3rd week of activities of Steven

26th October 2015- Media and Promotion

This was important step of the project as we were learning how CAT involve local and international Media in their project. This was facilitated by Milena the vice president CAT, we had great time understanding how to use local media as source of free advertisement

27th October 2015 preparing our cultural day presentation

The cultural evening was going to be most important part of the event, we ere given full day free to make our presentation and research on what would attract more volunteers to Kenya

Shopping for Cultural Night

We went shopping for the cultural night, this was facilitated by CAT and all the foods and drink we wish to use, and we kept in our flats ahead of the cultural evening.

Meeting the Students in High school N02

We had presentation about our culture and country to over 100 students in High school N02 which was a wonderful afternoon. We had discussion with the senior teachers on possible partnership Erasmus plus to connect schools in Kenya and schools in Leszno

Polish Dinner

This was the last Dinner organized by CAT as send off dinner and its cultural presentation which we enjoyed. The dinner brought all the CAT volunteers and local partners

28th October 2015-Higher Vocational state school

We had presentation with student of PWSZ higher education on Tolerance and cultural different, we made short presentation about Kenya and its multi-ethical culture. We also had cordial talk with the Department of Linguistic and culture in pursuing future partnership for linking higher education . we had the opportunity to invite them for the cultural night and present was local Radio station that help us in providing free talk time to announce the cultural Night.

Kenyan Cultural Night

The Kenya cultural Night started at 5.30pm to 9.00pm which was well attended by members of the community and business partners, local Government and the other NGOs that partner with CAT. We had over 50 people in attendance. The guest of honor was Leszno mayor. we had presentation about Kenya and its resources for tourism and investment. We also had detailed presentation socio-economic issues in Kenya ranging from HIV/AIDS to famine. I had time to present the activities of CADIF KENYA and areas of opportunities for partnership. We also had time to explain our volunteer program and explain about family volunteer program where you can come as tourist and also take few of your time to volunteers.

29th October 2015-Cooperation with NGO, BUSINESS AND PUBLIC SECTOR

This presentation was done by Milena and its one of the CAT strength in creating lasting relationship with different sector, the Business community, other related NGOs and the Public Sector. Her presentation was on how to utilize the above partnership for the benefit of CAT. We learned on how to get co-financing from the above partnership model.
