My last new experience in the jungle
It is so easy to lose your orientation, even for who have already crossed dozens of times these paths. For hours and hours sometimes you can not see the light of day. The serial repetition and continuous of the dense vegetation, old trees that despite being a different one from 'other all appear identical, and the hypnotic sound of birds singing, broken by confusing melody of the wind, fascinated me and at the same time scares me. At every step you can run into any animal and the knowledge that you're going through a land that live also several species of felines is certainly not reassuring. And always remind it there are, the footprints!
In my second tour with the team Rhino Monitoring Unit in the jungle of Ujung Kulon National Park, I had strong experienced, deep emotions, difficult to forget. Ten days in which to lose more than twice, with the team, I was also surprised in the night by abnormal waves, flooding the camping, which was located close to the beach with the fear that it was a tsunami. These are only a few minor mishaps, my greatest misfortune was to arrive in 30-second delay and make me miss a shot of the rare Java rhino! My partner luckier than me has had the pleasure of seeing the rhino sleep and disturbed by our footsteps running away quickly. Bad luck!
