Sanghiyangsirah
Located on the right tip of Java, includes the Ujung Kulon National Park in Banten province. Sanghyang in Sundanese means trance and Sirah means head.
The area is known as the Seven Wonders of Banten.
Outside the cave near the entrance there is a small sacred spring and is often used for drinking and bathing, with the goal of opening the mind, that is to unlock our sixth feel and understand our origins as human creation of Allah. Here animistic beliefs merge with those of Islam.
For visitors who want to get the blessing of the mysterious cave, you must follow the procedure, for example, before entering the cave, all visitors are required to take ablution in a shower in advance, where the water comes from mountain springs, after of that, visitors are invited to enter the cave.
In the cave there is a lake where the water is clear and cold. According to local belief, who bathe in the lake could experience a miracle.
My curiosity led me up there. taking an active part in the whole night ceremony. It was really impressive, never felt before. Maybe was the repetitive and hypnotic chants of "Laa ilaha ilallah," mybe was the wind that with it sound, dark and mysterious shiver the skin, but believe me, I really had the feeling there was something supernatural with us!
