Maayong Adlaw!!

Hello everybody! Maayong Adlaw!! We are a Spanish couple who is living for ten months in the Philippines. We have just spend our first month here, starting to know a little about Philippine culture and lifestyle, and our first impression is that Pilipino people is very friendly and they always want to please you. But this also has a bad part, at least for European people, because sometimes Pilipinos don’t say “no” or don’t say things that perhaps couldn’t like you. And sometimes those things they don’t say to not hurt you are important things…
Now we are collaborating in a stock farm in Ubay, learning how take care of the different animals: cows, goats, sheeps, pigs, turkeys, chickens, ducks… We have fed animals, we have vaccinated turkeys, we have weighed chickens, we’ve milked the cows, we take eggs from the nests and put them in the incubator… all of this making lots of photos.

We are also learning a little of “Cebuano”, the local language, and living a lot of experiences with the local people. The Pilipino always wants to talk with foreigners, especially if you say you are Spanish. We love the three questions they always ask us when they meet us for the first time: Where are you from? How old are you? Are you married?
But, this is only the beginning. We hope to continue having new experiences and knowing Philippines. We let you know!
