Who can participate

Please check the questions below, if you have answered YES on all of them, means you are a perfect candidate to participate in the project.

  1. Do you want to learn, experience and explore through volunteering abroad?

  2. You want to share and confront with others about the diversity of each of us?

  3. Are you an official resident in one of these countries: Italy, Slovakia, Spain, Thailand, Indonesia or Vietnam?

  4. Are you between 18 and 30 years old?

  5. You have never done an EVS project before.

  6. You are available to participate to two month of EVS service in the dates indicated?

  7. Do you have a strong motivation and interest in the topic of the hosting project?

  8. You want to write THE story of your volunteer experience on the other continent which will be published in a book?

  9. Are you available to participate in preparation and evaluation meetings in the cities where the sending organization of your country is placed?

 

If you have answered on all the question positively that means you are a perfect candidate.

 

Please take into the consideration that during the selection process the following criteria’s will be considered:

  • Any criteria which makes you a person with less opportunities respect to your peers (economic, social, health difficulties, geographical obstacles, educational obstacles, or else)

  • geographical criteria - closeness to the sending organization in your country and possibility to get involved with them after coming back

  • other specific criteria mentioned in each activity description.

GENERAL and FINANCIAL RULES OF THE PROJECT

 

This EVS activity is part of the Erasmus+ Program. The program covers the following expenses of the volunteers:

 

  • All the lodging expenses are covered by the Hosting Organization as well as the local transportation if needed for the activities

  • TRAVEL costs from the city of origin to the EVS activity hosting placement and back (if the volunteer spends more money than the budget limit, they have to cover these expenses). The sending and coordinating organization will support the volunteer to buy the travel tickets.

  • According to the rules of the Program, the EVS volunteers have to join the whole project period and the travel dates cannot differ (before or after) more than two days from the official dates of travel. If the case of difference, the volunteer will be in charge of paying the whole ticket.

  • VISA costs: if the volunteers need VISA for entering the hosting countries they will be supported by their sending organization and the program will cover the costs (up to budget limit)

  • Pocket Money: The volunteers in Asia will receive monthly 55€ (in local currency) for the pocket money; Instead in Europe volunteers hosted in Spain – 105€, Slovakia – 95€ and Italy 115€

  • Food money: each volunteer receives money for food supply or food will be provided to them by the NGO (read the special conditions of each hosting placement),

  • Volunteers will receive the ongoing mentors support and supervisión of the activities

  • In the end of the service the volunteers will receive the Youthpass certificate (www.youthpass.eu), which will be managed with the help of their mentors

  • The volunteers will be covered by CIGNA insurance during the whole duration of the activity.
