About the project

The overall aim of the project is to develop the model of empowerment of young people (especially NEETs) though development of employability skills on the international and local level.

The specific objectives of the project are strictly connected to the implementation of the overall aim and are the following:

Specific objective 1: to improve the expertise of the partnership, to enable them to work with NEETs more efficiently

The project target a group of youth workers who through the participation in the training will share the best practices and develop the common strategy of empowering NEETs via volunteering.

Specific objective 2: Support unemployed young people and NEETs, and particularly those in long-term unemployment to build competencies that will give them better chances to be included in the labour market;

The project’s main target group are 19 unemployed young people who will participate in EVS, and at least 20 young people per partner country who will benefit from local training. The expected change within this group is gaining experience-based learning to be transformed to competencies which will increase their chances to find a job and break out the circle of long-term unemployment and discouragement. Some of these competencies include intercultural learning, foreign language, team-work, sense of responsibility, learning to learn, etc.

Specific objective 3: To develop the methodological framework and tools to support development of the employability skills of young people.

At the transversal topic of the project are the employability competences, and partnership will work on their development directly with young people, the methodological framework will be created. Since it is still quite new approach in the European Youth work we tend to create the video tutorials, that will disseminate the concept and tools to the wide European public.

Specific objective 4: Enhance active citizenship on local and global level within a group of traditionally passive (long-term) unemployed young people;

The competencies that the main target group of young people will gain are not just limited to labour market requirements. Through its global dimension and its methodological approach, the project also strives to support a sense of active citizenship. The project will support building sensitivity and awareness on global and development issues. As a result, the direct target group are expected to come closer to the idea of global citizen active both on local and global level.

Specific objective 5: To contribute to improvements of the system or learning recognition within the Learning mobility

The project will be a platform for using and testing two tools that supports the recognition of learning – Unique Learning Badges and Portfolio on Employability skills. By introducing those tools into the project we will test them, that will allow the future improvements, and ensure the further visibility and dissemination of the tools, and of the need of recognition.
